Captain Ryan has been attached to a rod and reel since a very young age when he would spend his summers on small farm ponds in Iowa with his father and brother catching blue gill and large mouth bass. His passion continued to grow with age so it was no surprise to his family when he decided to pursue a career as a fishing guide by moving to the Texas Coast after high school.

From Dolphin Docks in Port Aransas to Redfish Lodge in Rockport to his own fishing guide business today, Captain Ryan has over 16 years of experience (both inshore and offshore) and has been a licensed captain since 2007. 

Guests who book with Captain Ryan can expect an easy-going angler who works hard to ensure they have a wonderful day on the water. From his 23' Haynie fishing boat, guests (depending on the season/weather) have the opportunity to catch drum, redfish, speckled trout, and occasionally other species like flounder and sheepshead. Keep in mind that the catch isn't the most important part of the day, it's the experience! Captain Ryan takes immense pride in the amount of hard work that he puts into the day to make sure everyone enjoys themselves as much as possible.
